THE STORY: Set a decade after the events of The Mask of Zorro. Don Alejandro (Banderas) - the real identity of Zorro - is still happily married to the fiery Elena (Zeta Jones) and their son Joaquin (Adrian Alonso) is now a precocious 10-year-old. Their home of California is set to vote whether to join the US, and Zorro has promised he will hang up his sword. But after he goes to the aid of the people, Elena throws him out. Zorro now finds himself up against a sinister conspiracy to try and halt the vote with Elena mysteriously having taken up with the man behind the plot, French aristocrat Armand (Sewell).
