I WAS pleased to read that Mr Blair is confident of our bid to host the Olympic Games in 2012. If it wasn't for Britain the Olympic Games would not be taking place.
After the war, Europe was in ruins and no country could or would take them on. Britain, almost bankrupt at the time, stepped in and saved the Games from extinction.See the full content of this document
