Summary


AN apocalyptic scene of death and destruction is all that is left of Banda Aceh. The smell of rotting corpses worsens by the day. Even three miles away from the disaster zone the stench is still inescapable.

The once idyllic region - home to much of my family - looks like it has been struck by an atomic bomb. The streets are littered with horrifically mutilated bodies. It's like a scene from a horror movie.
