HUNDREDS of thousands turned out across Britain to honour our heroes at the first Armed Forces Day yesterday - but there was one question on all their lips: "Where are the Royals?"

Flag-waving crowds at 200 events - including Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh - cheered brave service personnel and war veterans. Around 30,000 gathered at the biggest event, at Chatham's Historic Dock in Kent. But the Queen was the only senior Royal to attend an Armed Forces Day parade - in Edinburgh - and sent her "warm good wishes" to all veterans, service personnel and their families.
