THOUSANDS of friends and workmates are setting up share clubs to try to make money on the stock market.

These syndicates, where between two and 20 people pool money and ideas together, are becoming increasingly popular. There are now more than 12,100 clubs in the UK and last year alone the number increased by 20 per cent, with 37,500 new members.
