SINN Fein is demanding an end to "one of the greatest scandals ever" - that of paying ground rents to British landlords for our own State buildings.
The rents in some cases are tiny, however, the duration of the payments are spread over almost 3,000 years meaning that Irish taxpayers past, present and future, will end up paying hefty sums in total which could be put to better use in the State.See the full content of this document
