You always maintained you wouldnt have children, and now you have a daughter... Julie Graham: That was before I met Joe. We were in a play together and I knew quite quickly he was The One. So its all his fault. Joes the one who made me breed. Now Id like another baby. Its just incredible how everything else becomes secondary once you have a child. Edie Mays far more interesting than any silly old film set.

When did you stop breast-feeding? JG: When she was 11 months and I grieved when it was all over. We quite quickly moved her out of our bed, though. Having a baby lying between you can act as a pretty effective contraceptive although it is possible to have sex in places other than the bedroom as Ive discovered.
