Grief Grows Over Blaze Victim Mari

Summary

THE mother of a tragic five-year-old girl killed in a suspected arson attack said her grief is mounting as Christmas nears. Devastated Teresa Keane told how she desperately misses her daugh- ter Mari, who died after a fire ripped through her father Richard's home in Boyle, Co Roscommon, in October. Richard broke his back after fall-ing from the roof of his house as he attempted to save his three daughters from the blaze. The courageous dad, who is battling to walk again at the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dublin, will return home for Christmas on Wednesday.

Teresa revealed how they will have a touching memorial to Mari on Christ-mas Day. She said: "All Mari ever wanted for Christmas was a Dora mermaid doll. "So we have bought that and we will bring it to leave by her grave on Christmas Day.
