NISSAN'S Leaf EV has been all over the media this week, but in the States it's become a huge noise, coinciding as it does with Obama's promise of $2.4billion of investment into EVs and their infrastructure.

The US government is installing 2,500 charging stations, while Nissan have promised the first run of 5,000 Leafs and programme to analyse driving styles and battery range.
