Summary
DON'T get me wrong. I'm all for Peter Mandelson being shunted off to Brussels (the frozen wastes of Siberia wouldn't be far enough), but I totally resent the fact that this twice-disgraced politician, who's about as popular as a dose of the clap, is being handed a pounds 200,000 package of pay and perks to be European Commissioner.
If this is the man who has to make the case for a referendum on Europe, then we can kiss it goodbye. Mandelson is so universally disliked he couldn't persuade most of us that night follows day, let alone sell a referendum.See the full content of this document
