NORA Sands - the Irish cook with the unfor- gettable "foghorn voice" - has been immortalised in the BBC TV comic impersonation series Dead Ringers.

Earlier this year, Nora from Killeen, near Inistioge in Co Kilkenny, bacame a TV hit in Channel 4's Jamie's School Dinners and often eclipsed the popularity of superstar chef Jamie Oliver.
