New Child Grooming Arrests in Rochdale

NINE men have been arrested over a suspected SECOND child sex grooming case in Rochdale. The alleged victim is thought to be one of the girls questioned by police in relation to the earlier exploitation ring in the town.

IN last week's report concerning Cardinal Brady, reference was made to the late Fr Brendan Smyth. Due to an error made in the production process, when setting out in the penultimate paragraph the fact that he had "pleaded guilty to 74 charges of child abuse in the south and another 17 in the north", instead of the name Smyth, the name Brady appeared. Although from the context readers would have realised that an error had been made and that it was intended to name Smyth at that point, we wish ...
